Biography:
Kilkenny College has a long and proud tradition of hockey. The College currently fields 21 teams with games on a Wednesday afternoon. There are 350 pupils who play hockey, with 17 coaches. Teams play on a home away basis against schools in Munster and Leinster schools and clubs. Given the motorway network access to the major urban centres is very straightforward. There is a huge emphasis on participation as well producing international players. Current senior internationals include Clodagh Cassin and Jeremy Duncan, while Sam Grace plays with the U21’s. These are the latest in a long line of past pupils who have worn the green of Ireland.
