Biography:
Founded in 1909, YMCA Hockey Club has been one of the most successful in Irish Hockey. After enjoying a golden period during the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s, which included 9 Irish Senior Cup Wins, an Irish Junior Cup win and 11 League titles, the club went through a quiet period until reaching the final of the Irish Senior Cup in 2001 and winning the Neville Cup in 2003. Now under the Stewardship of Stephen Barry and playing at a new state-of-the-art pitch in Alexandra College, the team has had a revival, resulting in the clubs first appearance in the IHL in 2010 and finishing runner-up in 2012.The Ladies' section was formed in 2006 and the 1st team have gained promotion every year and are currently competing in Division 3.
Currently YMCA has 5 Men's teams (Division 1,3,4,5 & 8) and 2 Ladies' teams (Division 3 & 10).
