Statement regarding Junior Interprovincials

The Leinster Hockey Association (LHA) at its Board meeting on 25th March regrettably determined that they cannot fulfill participation in the Junior Inter-pros scheduled for 7th – 9thMay 2015
Suitable accommodation for our three squad’s i.e. Leinster Ladies, South East and Leinster Men could not be secured in the Belfast area for these dates.
Several hotels were approached in the last number of weeks but could not satisfy the requirement for over thirty rooms either separately or altogether.
The LHA have always participated and supported this tournament but believe that with time running out it is only fair to the other Provinces, the LHA coaching and management teams and players to make this determination in a timely manner.
Should an alternative date or venue be selected for the tournament the LHA will participate if at all possible.
