There are an amazing 58 semi-finals to be played! Expect a great atmosphere around Leinster!!
Please remember....
8-A-Side / Extreme 8s
- ALL 8-a-side semi-final teams must field a fully padded goalie and are restricted to 7 outfield players.
- For penalty frees only 3 defenders including a goalie to defend the free and 4 attackers - remaining players from both teams to be inside the opposite circle
- 8-a-side games are 20mins each way,
- Extra time is 5 mins each way, silver goal (finish out the half)
- penalty shoot-out if still tied after extra time ... 10 seconds to score
Minors (2nd years) and Juniors (3rd and 4th years)
- Games are 25 mins each way, ideally 30 mins if the home pitch can accommodate
- Extra time is 5 mins each way silver goal
- Penalty shoot out if still tied after extra time - 8 seconds to score
Results: Ensure that results are texted in promptly
Supporters: Please remind your supporters that while these are going to be exciting matches and very intense for the players - they can help by being supportive and positively encouraging and recognising good play from both teams! They are children... and it's their day out!
