& Development Coaches 2015 - 2017
The Leinster Hockey Association is looking to appoint a number of coach and management roles to our Junior Age Group (JAG) teams.
It is planned to expand the current Leinster Girls Development Programme (outlined below) to include Leinster Boys and South East hockey over the next two seasons. To that end, we are also looking for a head coach and general development coaches and managers.
If you are interested in applying for one of the Coach or Management Roles (below) please email admin@leinsterhockey.ie with a cover letter detailing which role(s) you are interested in by the closing date, 01-March-2015.
Please
note that anyone who wishes to be part of this programme must agree to be Garda
Vetted and have completed the Basic Code of Ethics Workshop for Young People in
Sport.
In general Inter-provincial head coaches should have a Level 2 Coaching certificate, and assistant coaches should have a Level One Coaching Certificate. Applicants will be asked to agree to the LHA Code of Conduct policy (click here).
The development head coach will be responsible for ensuring that the development centres and coaches are fully aligned to the long term development plans. Supporting and guiding development centre coaches where appropriate and working with the Junior Age Group Team coaches to ensure that development plans are aligned.
All
appointments will be reviewed at the end of each year and that going forward
appointments will automatically expire after a period of 2 years – at which
stage coaches/management will need to re-apply.
