New Fingal Development Officer

Hockey Ireland and Leinster Hockey are delighted to announce the appointment of Ross Hetem as Fingal Hockey Development Officer. This role is part-funded by Fingal County Council, Hockey Ireland and Leinster Hockey and will aim to feed into the shared strategic goals of each organisation in supporting growth in the region over the coming years.
Ross brings a wealth of hockey experience from various roles in Ireland, South Africa, England and Australia. Working alongside Fingal Sports Office and the development team, Ross will be responsible for ensuring continued growth of hockey in the region, via club, school, volunteer, coach and umpire development programmes.
Development Officers can offer help with many issues and can help you implement programmes in your club/ area such as:
- Pick-up-a-Stick social hockey
- Tricks4Sticks schools coaching initiative
- 3 v 3 festivals
- Young Hockey Leader Award
- Young Umpire Programme
- Hockey4All inclusion programme
- Clubmark club support and accreditation
- General advice and support in club and coaching structures
