Wesley College win Leinster Schoolgirls Senior Cup

It was an amazing atmosphere in UCD earlier today (06th Feb) where Wesley College played St Andrews in the final of the Leinster Hockey Schoolgirls Senior Cup Final. In front of a packed house, the crowd were treated to a fantastic display of hockey from both teams.
Wesley College took the early lead thanks to a goal by Player of the Match, Mikayla Power in the 7th minute.
In the second half, with chances for both teams, St Andrews College equalised when Anna Osborne slotted home.
Looking like the match could go to a shoot out and with less than a minute left on the clock Emma Montgomery, scored a second from a penalty corner to win the match.
Congratulations to Wesley College who go on to the Kate Russell All Ireland in Munster next month.
