Sept & Oct Volunteer of the Month Awards

We’re delighted to announce the September and October Volunteer of the Month Awards.
As always the Panel was delighted to see so many fantastic nominations being received and it is wonderful to see volunteers give so freely of their time to our wonderful sport which is so important in these challenging times.
Both of the winners being announced today are an absolute asset to their clubs and are truly deserved winners.
On behalf of the Leinster Hockey Board and Development Committee, I would like to congratulate Ciara Hudson from Weston HC and Elaine Cox from Newbridge HC on their awards and thank them for everything they do.

Ciara Hudson has worked tirelessly for Weston HC since joining the club with her three daughters approximately ten years ago. Currently Youth Coordinator, the work she does for the club extends far beyond her remit and she works with volunteers for each age group – training them on match-day organisation, general administration, coaching courses etc., Ciara is also involved with Child Welfare, Umpiring, and most recently the implantation of Covid protocols.
Elaine Cox has been volunteering with Newbridge Hockey Club for the past 26 years and was one of the founding members of Newbridge Hockey Club in 1995. Since then she has undertaken many roles within our club from being a player, coach, Covid officer and has been a committee member for the past 26years, and is currently Chairperson. Elaine has done outstanding work with the rest of our committee to ensure Newbridge Hockey Club continues to develop and grow.
