Pamela & Paul Bastable win February Volunteer of the Month
March 26, 2021
The Leinster Hockey Development Committee is delighted to announce that Pamela and Paul Bastable from Glenanne Hockey Club have been awarded the February 2021 Volunteer of the Month Award.
The husband and wife team are a powerhouse within Glenanne Hockey Club. Having lived abroad for a number of years they returned to the club in 2019 and are involved in key areas of development, growth and retention.
As Club President, Paul is focusing on growing the numbers within the club and developing strong links with local schools while also encouraging past players to find their sticks and gum shields and return to the sport while Pamela has taken on the role of club administrator and runs the club’s social media forums.
It’s absolutely fantastic that Pamela and Paul have been recognised by Leinster Hockey for this award. Glenanne Hockey Club has always prided itself as a family focused club and Pamela and Paul are truly deserving winners – David Williamson, Glenanne HC Secretary
It really is wonderful to be able to recognise the work done by a family within our sport and I want to congratulate and thank Pamela and Paul for their work as volunteers within their club – Fiona Walshe, LHA Director for Development
Congratulations Pamela & Paul!
