LHA U21/23 InterProvincials 2019-20
The men’s inter provincial competition will take place in March (8th, 15th, 22nd), following which the national development coach, Denis Pritchard, will select players to participate in
- U23 match series at Easter in Dublin (tbc)
- U21 match series vs Canada (May) in Dublin
- Potential U23 development/training match not yet confirmed
- U21 tournament in Spain (June)
- U23 fixtures – end of July/August tbc (up to 6 x U23 players in each national squad)
Coach
The LHA are advertising for a coach to select the training panel and prepare the squad for matches - interested coaches should email interpro@leinsterhockey.ie

Competition

Players do not need to be available for all dates / matches;
Match squad of 18, including a maximum of 6 U23s, to play inter-provincial match
Extra players to play in a trial match if available on that date
The host province will train with the national coach in the morning and play in a trial match in the afternoon (after the inter-pro match)
- E.g. Leinster squad train in National Sports Centre, Abbotstown on 22-March, and play a trial match against a mixed/invitation panel in the afternoon
Players not selected for provincial team on 08-Mar or 15-Mar may be invited to play in the trial match
Players
Players need to be nominated by their club and should complete the player registration form online HERE
Players born in 1997, 98 are U23s
Players born in 1999, 2000, 2001 are U21s
Once a coach (and manager) has been appointed trials can be arrange and a team prepared for each match
